Create Contract Templates in GenieREI
This video walks you through how to build a contract template and send it to a seller for signature.
Building Your Template:
- Go to the Contracts tab → Templates
- Open an existing template or create a new one
- Any field you need to fill out yourself — use a Text Field set to Filled by Sender
- For seller name — always use a text field filled by sender so you can customize it (e.g. John Doe by Jane Doe, Power of Attorney)
- For checkboxes (like agreement options) — add a Checkbox and set it to not required since only one option will be selected
- For signatures — drag in a Signaturefield:
- Seller signs as the Contact
- Your company signs as a Company Email (e.g. tc@yourcompany.com) so your TC can sign without you
- If you have multiple entities, leave the company name as a text field so you can choose which entity is buying
- Hit Save when done
Sending a Contract:
- Go to Contracts → Templates, find your template, hit Use Template
- Fill out all the text fields — address, price, dates, seller name, etc.
- For multiple sellers — hit Recipients, add the additional contact, and drag in their signature and initial fields
- Hit Send — or share via link if preferred
- The system saves the contact automatically
Tips:
- You can upload your own purchase agreement or use the GenieREI template
- If you want to re-enable the Send Contract button from the status panel, contact the team — just note the draft view won't show pre-filled values until after sending, so set a signing order so you can proofread before it goes to the seller
