Effective Call Handling and Live Transfer Techniques for Real Estate Leads
This video walks you through how to handle an inbound call and live transfer the seller to an acquisitions rep.
When a Call Comes In:
- Answer with: "Hey, this is [your name] with [company]. How can I help you?"
- Once they mention a property, ask: "Did you have a property you're looking to get an offer on?"
- Collect: property address, their name, and best callback number
- If they say you already have their number — let them know it doesn't show on your end and ask them to confirm it
- Add any notes about why they want to sell
Submitting the Lead:
- PPC call → go to [yoursite].com/ppc (bookmark this)
- Direct mail call → go to [yoursite].com/direct-mail (bookmark this), select Offer Card as the mail type
- Fill out the form and submit
Live Transfer on Mobile:
- Answer the call → hit the keypad button to connect
- Hit Transfer in the top right
- Select a staff member by name, or type in the live transfer number: 531-551-6228 (save this)
- Hit Call and Hold
- Once they answer, hit Merge Call
- Hit Leave Without Ending to drop off while keeping them connected
Live Transfer on Desktop:
- Same process — always use Warm Transfer, not blind transfer
If No One Answers the Transfer:
- It kicks you back to the caller
- Let them know no one was available, ask for a good time to call back
- Add that in the notes and submit the lead
